Glow
Join in the third installation of the nation’s only nighttime arts celebration focused exclusively on original artwork. Glow has commissioned 15 interactive art projects to illuminate Santa Monica’s iconic pier and beach. This massive outdoor museum, where art exists not just to be seen, but to be experienced is one of the largest public art events in the world. Many Santa Monica restaurants will have specials, as well as extended hours, with local hotels offering special rates and package. Plus, several of Santa Monica’s spas and salons are offering specials on beauty treatments, with additional discounts on yoga classes. Saturday, 7 pm-3 am

Artifacts of a Life Lived by the Living (to Live)
Curated by artist Chris Johanson, this exhibition celebrates the act of art-making and the necessity of the creative process. Johanson has selected a group of artists who create in service of bringing balance and order to their lives. AuraYoga
The guys behind AuraCycle, are opening a hot yoga studio at WeHo’s Sunset Plaza. The space features their signature ambient lighting system, that customizes each class. Zebra Mats is behind the flooring, which offers “higher friction between the body and floor, enabling positions to be held longer with increased comfort.” Opens Sunday; 8608 W Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood; 323.325.4960

Good Food Fridays
Enjoy art, music, food, and more during this kick-off of the Autumn season. This Friday’s Fall Feast includes food sampling, wine & beer tastings, live music from singer/songwriter Amy May and pop-up boutiques from Gindo’s Spice of Life, 3D Cheeze Photo Booth, Naam Yoga, Jeanne Verger Jewelry and KRAVE Jerky and discounts from Buy Local and Santa Monica Place Shopper Rewards. Santa Monica Merchant will also feature curated organic food delivery, along with apple and pumpkin picking for the season. Trattoria Neapolis’ One Year Anniversary Party
Get off-menu cuisine and drinks at Pasadena’s restaurant. The social event features different food and drink pairings in areas all over the restaurant like a wines in the garden room, craft beer on the balcony and craft cocktails in the bar. Front Porch Cinema
Fall doesn’t mean the end of outdoor movies! Santa Monica Pier has Front Porch Cinema this fall. It’s a Friday film series that features an eclectic line-up of movies, music, drinks and snacks. This year the series partners with Film Independent and kicks off the season with Los Wild Ones, a documentary that goes behind the scenes of LA’s Wild Records. Co-op 28 Handmade.Vintage.Home. Launches Home Furnishings & Decor Store
In August, “Co-op 28 Handmade & Vintage” expanded into Co-op 28 Handmade.Vintage.Home with the debut of their new 1,500-square foot handmade, vintage and new furnishings and home décor store. To celebrate the home store launch, Co-op 28 will host an open-to-the-public grand opening party on Friday, September 27, from 7 PM–10 PM. The grand opening party will feature refreshments; a special live performance by Blake Lewis, from “American Idol” Season 6; a free Apt2B sofa raffle; and the “unveiling” of Co-op 28’s new outdoor signage, made from up-cycled trash. 1728-1730 N. The Hudson & The Churchill Celebrate National Drink Beer Day

Milkshake Madness at BLD
BLD will be offering a variety of milkshake flavors including Chocolate Buttermilk with branca menta, Blackberry Vanilla with creme de cassis, Cinnamon Latte with amaretto, Chocolate Guinness with Jameson, and Hazelnut Banana with sailor jerry rum. Thai Food Festival:BKK 2 LAX
Thai Culinary Ambassador and celebrity chef personality Jet Tila joins the Thai Trade Center Los Angeles to host an exploration of Thai cuisine and the performing arts. LAX Art Walk
For the first time, the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) Art Program will present an original performance work at LAX, entitled Everywhere Nowhere. Directed and choreographed by Sarah Elgart, with an original score by Yuval RonEverywhere Nowhere is a site-specific, multi-sensory show of movement, media, and color. Projections are by director Kevin Kerslake and artist Stephen Glassman, and costume design by Swinda Reichelt. It was commissioned as part of the Influx: Art at LAX, an ongoing public art festival featuring the work of 45 Los Angeles-based artists and 11 original, site-specific installations located throughout LAX. Before to the performanceLAX is hosting its first-ever Art Walk. Not Your Average Oktoberfest
Try unique beer-and-food pairings at Eagle Rock Brewery’s off-center craft beer carnival. They are pairing up with Evan and Alex from Hot Knives and having activities like a German nachos booth by Hot Knives, beer poetry readings, and a beer industry arm-wrestling invitational where other brewers will be here to throw down. We think you should participate in the kraut eating competition! Septemberfest Beer Festival
The annual all-you-can-drink-for-one-low price Septemberfest Beer Festival is back! This year it is at downtown’s LA Center Studios and it’s country-themed. 5th Annual Beer Olympics
Maybe Sepetemberfest wasn’t enough.
